Join to learn the simple pleasure of origami crafts via 45-minute online workshop. Please register first and you will receive a Zoom link. The workshop will be suited for students of any age from kindergarteners to retirees looking for a new hobby. A great opportunity for a family activity as well. All skill levels are welcome!

The theme for this month’s session is Mother’s day! (Themes/models are subject to change.)

You can practice Japanese and help Japanese students practice English. It’s a monthly event, so you can choose which dates to register for—come once or come every time! This week’s meeting will focus on a demonstration and playing of Karuta, with Karuta expert Mitsumi Stone! Mutsumi Stone, the leader of the group and the founder of a NPO called GO! KARUTA, is very enthusiastic about promoting karuta.

She holds a booth at many Japanese festivals like Shinshun Matsuri, Sakura Matsuri, and so on.  She also visits Japanese classrooms and lets students play the hyakunin-isshu karuta.
