SJA at Pink-in-the-Pool

SJA hosted the origami station at “Pink in the Pool” this year again at Long Bridge Aquatic & Fitness center on March 21st, 2026.  “Pink in the Pool” is a part of the National Cherry Blossom Festival. On a sunny Saturday morning, a lot of families with young children came to enjoy swimming and all other activities like balloon twisting and matcha tasting at the event.  SJA had a booth for origami, and we taught children aged 5-12 and parents with babies how to fold animals (pandas, cats, dogs and bunnies) and flowers.  Pandas and bunnies were very popular.  We also cut small cherry blossoms with origami so that they could decorate it on their animal’s faces.  Participants had big smiles after they finished folding their favorite animals.
